BOET SCHOUWINK - MULTILINGUAL VOICEOVER - OWN RECORDING STUDIO
How did a native Dutchman get to voice national TV-commercials in both America and the UK, with 'native' accents??
Born in The Netherlands, my family moved to West-Africa when I was 6 months old. While learning to talk in Dutch and English, surrounded by British and American expat children, I soon developed a talent for impersonation by immediately switching to the accent of the person I was speaking to; be it Scottish, Irish, American, even local African English.
After receiving my Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Delft Technical University, I decided to give myself a year to try an alternative careerpath as a Voiceover, and soon became so succesfull there was no turning back.
I work daily for clients around the globe from my own professional soundstudio, with only the best equipment:
Studiobox Premium Soundbooth,
Neumann U87 & Brauner Phantom microphones,
Earthworks ZDT 1021 preamp, Universal Audio X6 interface, M1 Mac with Adobe Audition.
